Purley Festival begins in under 5 days and it was great to be able to meet the fantastic team of volunteers that are making the event happen.
Those involved in the organisation and promotion along with the major sponsors convened on the rotary field this morning for a photo that will feature in the Croydon Advertiser.
Purley Festival is about celebrating everything great in Purley and encouraging people, businesses, charities, the arts, music, film, sports clubs and other organisations to come together.
This year’s event aims to build on the success of the inaugural event with over 60 stalls booked in for pitches. Local residents can still volunteer to help make it happen by offering to marshal, purchasing raffle tickets and donating prizes.
Plan Insurance’s sponsorship of the Purley Festival continues their commitment to aiding the local community and follows their recent involvement in the Caterham Festival.
As part of the Jubilee celebrations Caterham was registered as one of 2012 Beacons that were lit around Great Britain and the Commonwealth.
The Caterham Beacon was built as a permanent reminder of the Queens Diamond Jubilee and Plan Insurance were very proud to be able to sponsor this lasting tribute.
