The team at Cab Chat celebrated their 200th radio show last week.
The milestone was celebrated in Crayford, in traditional Cab Chat style, with attendees taking part in the 5 pie challenge. To win the challenge, 5 pies and double mash with liquor must be eaten in under 20 minutes. Among the challengers was Dan from the Plan team, who took the honours after beating the competition and finishing the challenge in a timely fashion.
What is Cab Chat?
Cab Chat is a weekly radio podcast by Black Cab Drivers, and is sponsored by Plan Insurance Brokers and Drivertax. The show is centred around the latest happenings in the Taxi Trade, and also in London. Some of the team were previous members of the London Taxi Radio. Every week, Jamie (aka SuperCabby), is joined by a panel of co-hosts such as Dropkick Rick, Knowledge of London student 6MileSteve and IamCabMan. Dan from the Plan team also regularly features, answering listener’s questions on insurance related topics. Jason and Gary, from Drivertax, share their knowledge and tips around tax and accounting. The team at Cab chat also visit a Pie and Mash shop in London once a month, rating each one on their dining experience. The shop that receives the highest rating will be given the coveted Pie and Mash award at the Cab Chat Awards later this year.
