We received our British Heart Foundation fundraising pack for this year’s Wear it Beat it – and we’re excited to be hosting another blood pressure drive for our London cabbies.
It will be another year for our popular Black Cabbies Blood Pressure Check day at Heathrow Taxi Feeder Park Cafe, Friday February 5th, 2016.
Taking place on Friday morning, we invite all black cab drivers to come and get their free test to help spread the issues of blood pressure on your health.
We saw many cabbies turn up at the same time last February, and we hope that it will be another good turnout this year.
Free teas and coffees were on the house to every cabbie that got a blood pressure check from Nurse Claire – and the valuable results and advice on blood pressure health were also appreciated.
British Heart Foundation is a charity helping and aiming towards beating heart diseases, conditions and problems, and strive to save lives through their funding of vital research.
It is estimated that nearly 7 million people in the UK are living with high blood pressure that is undiagnosed, without knowing they are at risk.
The only way to know whether you have high blood pressure is to have it measured.
Everyone should know their blood pressure. We recommend that everyone over 40 gets their blood pressure taken by a nurse or doctor as part of a health check to assess their risk for getting cardiovascular disease.
So, Black Cab drivers, come and visit us on Friday, February 5th at Heathrow – Taxi Feeder Park Cafe to get your FREE blood pressure check.
Oh, and a FREE tea or coffee – on us!!
